At the hands of our Master Massage Therapists, the session is based on the client's specific muscular issues and may include a blending of Deep Tissue Massage, Warm Stone, Swedish, Neuromuscular Therapy, essential oils, as well as stretching techniques for a singularly therapeutic balancing of relaxation and de-stressing. Our "signature" massage -- one for which Bellewood is renowned since it first opened its door in 2001.

Swedish Massage refers to a collection of techniques designed primarily to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. This classic massage substantially improves muscle tone, circulation, and joint flexibility. Ideal for flushing toxins and loosening tight, tired and stressed muscles. Cost: $75/hour session $100/90-min. session
Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) is a deep tissue technique of locating muscle "knots" called Trigger Points. Trigger Points occur for many reasons, including trauma (like automobile accidents) or even long-term stress and can last for many years. By applying the proper methods of NMT, trigger points can be removed or reduced allowing for relief from months or even years of discomfort.
Cost: $85/for 50 min. session
Deep Tissue Therapy is massage used to release chronic muscle tension through slower stokes and more direct pressure of friction applied across the grain of the muscles. The massage is directed toward the deeper tissue structures to alleviate chronic pain by manipulating the various layers of fascia that support muscles tissues and loosening the bonds between the layers of connective tissue. Not for wimps.

Warm Stone Massage includes the use of smooth, flat basalt stones of varying sizes heated to a temperature of approximately 130 degrees. The stones are integrated into many of the same techniques as Swedish Massage and provide a superior soothing effect to muscles in need of relaxation. The result is sheer Nirvana.

Pre-Natal Massage is designed for the mother-to-be. Pregnancy produces stresses not only for the mother, but science clearly indicates stress's significant effects on the unborn child. Pregnancy is a most important time to be free of stress and Pre-Natal Massage is designed to ensure that.

Kick back and escape with a friend or loved one with our Couples Massage. Two people can enjoy their massage experience together, side by side in our couple's room. A perfect way to enjoy some quality time together.
