What is Jin Shin Jyutsu?
Translated, Jin Shin Jyutsu means the art of the creator through compassionate man. This ancient art is the art of getting to know and help oneself. It is the Art of harmonizing & revitalizing spirit, mind & body.
Jin Shin Jyutsu involves the application of the hands for gently balancing the flow of life energy in the body. It is not a physical manipulation of tissue and uses only minimal pressure.
Jin Shin Jyutsu is for those of us addressing existing stress or health disharmonies, or for those simply wishing to participate actively in maintaining health, harmony and well-being. The Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu is a simple and powerful tool, available to all. This beautiful, simple Art is our inheritance.
Using a series of hand placement combinations, the therapist helps gently balance the flow of life energy in the body. There is no physical manipulation of tissue and only minimal pressure is used to stimulate circulation of energy along a given pathway, each with a distinct function or essence. The client lies fully dressed on the table removing only shoes, any jewelry or glasses.
A practitioner of Jin Shin Jyutsu is not a "do-er". S/He simply assists in the flow of the infinite supply of universal energy. The experience of Jin Shin Jyutsu is unique to each person for each session.

Pat Kane, Jin Shin Jyutsu Practitioner,
has been practicing energy therapy since 1999, beginning first with Reiki. She received her Jin Shin Jyutsu instruction at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Her career includes 45 years in the field of education, teaching all grade levels from pre-school Montessori to graduate school at Rutgers University. Pat spent 30 of those years with the NJ Audubon Society using the outdoors as a classroom. She is also a professional storyteller.
